چکیده

Background Sjogrens syndrome (SS) is a chronic autoimmune disorder, characterised by lymphocytic infiltration resulting in exocrine gland destruction and other extra-glandular manifestations [1]. Currently there is no definitive diagnostic test, and the immuno-pathology is not fully understood. Recently focus has shifted to investigating microRNAs (miRs) in an effort to understand the mechanisms contributing to disease pathogenesis. MiRs are short non-coding RNA sequences, which regulate gene expression posttranscriptionally [2]. Of note, miRs have been identified as key regulators of immune function in a variety of autoimmune conditions [2]. The hypothesis of this project is that alterations in expression of specific miRs which regulate genes relating to inflammation and immunity may play a role in the pathology of the disease.

P140: The Roles of Micro RNA in Multiple Sclerosis Disease

As one of the most common neurological disabilities in young adults, Multiple sclerosis (MS) has characteristics of inflammation, demyelination, neuro-axonal damage, and progressive prolonged disability. The disease is clinically divided into three general categories according to response to treatment: Relapsing-Remitting MS (RRMS), Primary Progressive MS (PPMS) and Secondary Progressive MS (SP...

Evaluation of Changes in NFKB Gene Expression Following Epstein-Barr Virus and its Participation in the Half-Life of Patients With Acute Epstein-Barr Positive Lymphoblastic Leukemia

Aim: Leukemia targets are one of the most common childhood malignancies. Epstein-Barr virus is a tumorigenic virus of the herpes family of viruses and causes primary infection in young children. The aim of this study was to evaluate the increase in NFKB expression following EBV virus and its contribution to the half-life of EBV-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia patients. Evaluation of CXCL10 and CXCL11 Genes in Patients with Celiac Disease by Specific Primer Paris

Background: Celiac Disease (CD) is a T cell-mediated disorder. Recent studies suggest the role of chemokines CXCL10 and CXCL11 to promote the arrival of cells into inflamed tissues and in lymphocytic recruitment in active CD. The aim of this study was to investigate the new specific primer pairs for analysis of human CXCL10 and CXCL11 genes in blood samples of CD patients by Polymerase Chain Re...
